SteveSteve Hensen – Vice President

Term 2019-2022
Steve and his wife Mary bought their property in Lakewood in the fall of 2014. They have been around the Castle Rock Area for over 10 years and had previously owned a camping lot just down the road on Hwy Z. Steve enjoys boating, motorcycling, snowmobiling, fishing, and hanging out with his family. He has 2 adult children and one grandson, who all enjoy coming to the cabin. Steve has worked as an automotive and heavy equipment mechanic, as well as a sales representative for a company that supplied mortar and cement products for large construction projects. He is currently employed as a fleet mechanic for the City of Madison/Metro Transit. He was a member of the Sun Prairie Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years and served as an officer of the department for 10 years. Steve enjoys working with people and looks forward to being a member of the Lakewood community with all its social and recreational opportunities.

Ginny Palumbo – Secretary

Term 2020-2023
The Palumbo family has owned in Lakewood since the early 80’s. Her and her husband Bob enjoy spending time in Lakewood. They can be found running around on their UTV, boating on the river, or sitting by the fire. Ginny has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising. She graduated on the Dean’s list from Roosevelt University. Ginny has worked in the food business since graduating college. She was transferred to the beautiful state of Oregon for a 4-year stint, before making her way back home to Chicago during her 30 + year career. She currently holds a National Sales Manager position with Karlin Foods. She is not new to serving on a Board of Directors. She has served on her current HOA (239 homes) for the past 15 years and has held every position during her time. She is currently President of the Board of Directors in Illinois.

Stephanie Anderson – Treasurer

Term 2019-2022
Stephanie Anderson has have been an owner in Lakewood since July of 2017. She was drawn to Lakewood after her sister and her husband purchased a cabin here in 2011. In 2014, her parents moved to Lakewood full-time. In the spring of 2017, she looked at a cute little A-frame and was hooked. She just purchased a UTV and is looking forward to hitting the trails around Lakewood this season. She is currently a Technical Administrative Assistant at Nelnet in Madison, WI. She has worked at Nelnet for 21 years and loves it! Stephanie recently joined the Lakewood Board of Directors as Treasurer. She wants to be part of making Lakewood a great place for our members to enjoy. She looks forward to meeting more of our members.

Scott Geiger – Director

Appointed 2020
Scott’s family built their house in Lakewood in the early 1980’s after watching TV commercials in Milwaukee. Scott’s dad, Louis (LOU) Geiger, became Lakewood’s president soon after in the late 1980’s. Scott became a full time resident along with his two dogs, “Scrappy” and “Dora”, in the fall of 2017 after taking ownership of the home. Scott received early retirement from his job of 20 years for the City of Milwaukee, Department of Public Works as a heavy equipment operator. Prior to that he was a route salesman for Pabst Blue Ribbon and Pepsi Cola. Scott’s job experience working outdoors has helped him adapt to rural living. Scott appreciates the area and the many outdoor activities it offers. He enjoys driving his Polaris 1000 Turbo UTV on the trails and visiting local establishments. Scott recently started dating a native Friendship resident, Dawn Roberts. Dawn has given him much insight that only a native would know. Scott enjoys talking with people and hopes he can keep Lakewood alive and strong for many years to come

Amy Volkmann – President

Term 2019-2022
Amy is the business manager for Degnan Design Build Remodel in Deforest. She received her MBA from Lakeland University and has been teaching business classes there since 2008. Prior to that, Amy worked as administrator/clerk/treasurer for 17 years for two townships. She is a VERY proud MoM (Mom of a Marine). She loves cooking, especially complicated Mexican. Her goal is to make the best tamales on the planet! She and Harvey purchased their place August 2018 and have had a campfire going ever since!!!

Carin Tio – Interim Director

Term
Carin Tio has owned property in Lakewood Subdivision for 21 years. Carin purchased her first home in 1999 and the second home in 2016. Carin and her husband Wayne enjoy coming up and spending time boating, riding their UTV and also enjoy the beach and common areas with their children and 6 grandchildren. Carin is currently working full-time for Henry Schein in West Allis as an Inside Sales Coordinator and also holds a real estate license in Wisconsin. Carin has become great friends with many of their neighbors over the years and has recently joined the board as an Interim Director.
